Privacy Policy

Filmera is built to be private by design. It edits your photos entirely on your device and does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal information. This policy explains what that means in plain terms.

The short version

• We do not collect personal data.
• There is no account to create and no login.
• Your photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
• We use no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.
• We run no servers that receive your data — there is nothing to send.

Photos, camera and your library

When you choose a photo, take one with the in-app camera, or save an edit, Filmera accesses your photo library or camera only with your permission through Apple's standard system prompts. All processing — filters, colour, masks, effects and AI features — happens locally on your iPhone using Apple's frameworks. Edited images are written back to your library only when you explicitly choose to save or share them. We never receive, view, or copy your photos.

Purchases and subscriptions

Filmera offers optional in-app purchases and subscriptions. These transactions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your name, payment card, or billing details. Whether you have an active subscription is verified on your device against Apple's receipt; that check does not identify you to us.

Information we do not collect

Filmera does not collect device identifiers for tracking, location data, contacts, usage analytics, crash telemetry, or any advertising identifiers. We do not use cookies or third-party SDKs that profile you.

Third parties

The only third party involved is Apple, which processes App Store purchases and provides the system frameworks the app runs on, under Apple's Privacy Policy. Filmera does not share any data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers, because it collects none.

Children's privacy

Filmera does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Because no personal data is collected, the app can be used by people of any age without a privacy risk from us.

Data security

Since your content stays on your device and we operate no servers, there is no central database of your information to breach. Your photos are protected by your device's own security.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and revise the date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
